Checking in on this list. Just bought Gone Girl. Jeff and I are going no-Internet/iPhones/iPads for a month, we need to stock up on these titles!

I just finished “what Alice forgot” thank you sooooo much for recommending. I haven’t read a book in about 2 1/2 years. This book was amazing, loved it and always looked forward to picking it up. I want to read another book, but am worried I won’t like it as much as “what alive forgot”. Can you recommend a book similar to it, have you happened to read any more of Liane’s novels? Thank you Kate!! And thank you for sharing all your life experiences in writing, photos, and videos. I enjoy them an have learned from your wisdom. Thank you Kate

Congrats on breaking the book dry spell! That happens to me too. I usually list similar books under their review, you can check that out here. Another book review coming this week (today?) with another book kind of similar as well! I think you’d love it.

So excited to find this great list of books! I have read a handful… and I’m going to work on reading the rest! In response to Natalie, who commented on July 7— I’d recommend The Husband’s Secret- also by Liane Moriarty– a good one! (As soon as I finished What Alice Forgot, I needed to find MORE by her– so Husband’s Secret was a decent follow-up. Enjoy!

Based on this book list alone, I’m convinced that, were we to meet in real life, we would become instant best friends. Excited to see some titles I haven’t heard of–off to update my Goodreads list now!

I don’t even remember how I stumbled upon your blog but I’ve really enjoyed your book reviews and have read many of the titles on your favorites list. Thank you! I just finished White Teeth by Zadie Smith and highly recommend it. The storytelling is brilliant, the characters’ voices are alive and brimming, and it’s weird. So I think it would be a definite win for you.
